And there is big difference in “to the East”

and “from the East.”

I hate that I said it wrong. It’s confusing enough when it’s said correctly. Haha

The CBJ is tough sometimes but it is actually not that old. There are over 3000 versions. Mainly the NKJV, NLT and the ESV are the most accurate and easy to read outside the CJB. I am not a fan of the NIV because it has some major translation problems. The message version is another one that is easy to read but it is a paraphrase and not a direct translation. In other words it has commentary built in and the author states that so you know going in. One reason the antichrist will be successful is the people that will follow him believe they are following truth. It will be a very watered down version of the truth. That is why it is vital to understand so we know what to look for. It will not be very obvious.

Seems there’s a big difference between “into the sky” and “Heaven.” Kinda disturbing about the translations. I’d read the CJB but I have a lot of difficulty trying to remember the Hebrew names of the Bible folks as well as the names of places. I should look for a cheat chart.

I do like to go back to the KJV, too. How many known translations are there between the Jewish Bible and the King James, assuming the Jewish Bible is the oldest. (I don’t even know if it is.)

I remember reading an article about a year ago about the watering down of some of the newer translations to make them more “inclusive“. I really hate that word.
